Preparing and organizing your wedding is a challenging and daunting experience, and will take you a lot of time, planning and effort.
You will have to select the venue and cuisine, prepare guests lists, decide on your wedding gown, dress and suit, wedding rings, flowers, and plan your program on the day etc.
Amidst the myriad things that you need to attend to, your marriage registration ceremony, the moment when all eyes are on you when you both hold hands and walk down the aisle, stand and in front of all relatives and guests, and make life-long commitments for each other under the law, the most important event of the day, is very often overlooked.
I’m a civil celebrant of marriages appointed by the Registrar of Marriage Registry, Hong Kong, to solemnize marriages at any time and place in Hong Kong, other than the office of the Registrar of Marriages, or a licensed place of worship under the Marriage Ordinance.
I’m also a solicitor, a notary public, and a China appointed attesting officer.
I have celebrated marriages for wedding couples locally, and from overseas, including couples from Germany, Netherlands, Russia, UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Dubai, Abd Dhabi, and from various cities in mainland china such as Beijing, Shanghai, Sichuan, Ningbo, and Mongolia.
I conduct wedding ceremonies in Cantonese, Mandarin and English.
In relation to weddings, I have given interview on marriage celebration services which is reported in the South China Morning Post.
I have also been invited by Nikko Hotel HK to give live demonstration of the marriage celebration ceremony at their wedding fairs organized in the hotel.
Previously, I’ve been instrumental in securing an award for my law firm from the HK Productivity Council as the Quality Wedding Merchant for the years 2011 and 2012 (Q-mark) in recognition of our high quality civil celebrant of marriages service.
How can I Help
I can work with you to make your wedding registration ceremony a personalized, meaningful and memorable one.
We will discuss and plan together on the various aspects of your wedding registration ceremony, from your marching-in as bride and groom, and marching-out as husband and wife, and what will take place in between.
I will advise you on the standing position of the bride and groom on the stage, the vows and expressions of love, the readings, the wedding rings exchange, the seating arrangement for the signing of the marriage certificate, and the music that reflects the mood and the joy of the occasion.
You’ll find that you can personalize your wedding registration ceremony, and have your big day your way, while complying fully with the legal requirements.
